The following prayer, found writen on a piece of wrapping paper in Ravensbruck,
the largest of the concentration camps for women in Nazi Germany,
has been sumitted by Elizabeth Smart.
O Lord, remember not only the men and women of good will,
but also those of ill will.
Do not remember all the suffering they have inflicted upon us,
but remember the fruits we bought, thanks to this suffering,
our comradeship, our loyalty, our humility,
the courage, the generosity, the greatness of heart which has grown out of this,
and when they come to judgement,
let all the fruits that we have borne be their forgiveness.
Amen.
An 'Arrow Prayer' - from an M.U. Service Book.
I’m fed up, Lord, today.
I don’t know why and it doesn’t matter.
I just feel cross and bored and miserable.
Help me to hold on to your love and not to take the blackness out on my family and those I meet.
Be with me until the gloom goes and I can feel you there again.
Amen

Lord God,
you are the Author of peace,
you stilled the raging storm
and have ordered the creation of the world
to suit your purpose and timing.
Speak peace to the heart of your world,
may your peace be commanded to all the places of the world
where violence, war and injustice abound.
In the midst of all tumult,
may your world find peace and calm which passes all understanding,
and which only you can give.
That by peace and justice
the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
will have room in the hearts of all people.
To the honour and glory of your name,
Amen.

O Lord, you created the Church;
fill her with your own gift of love,
that by her service to humanity,
she may faithfully serve you.
Purify her by your Spirit
and restore her broken unity;
that she may minister your
reconciling grace to us all,
for the healing of the nations,
and to the glory of your name;
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Amen.
From a Mothers’ Union Prayer Book.
Alleluia! Christ is risen,
On this Easter Morn may we rise with him,
and praise him with all our hearts;
cast aside our cares, and lean on his abundant love.
Amen.
Today love and resurrection
have become the perfect whole.
The tomb is empty,
Christ has risen glorious from the dead.
Lord, help me to cherish the revelation
of your new beginning.
Today love and resurrection
have made me whole.
