Wendy Craig

Wendy Craig is the widely known and well-loved actress whose television roles have included the scatty mother in "Butterflies" and Matron in "The Royal". Wendy has been a committed Christian for several years.

Jennifer Vear remembers that Wendy Craig, who gave us this note of encouragement for our web site, actually visited Alford and St Wilfrid's Church in the early 1980's. They were filming 'Nanny' and the episode included filming inside the church. Jennifer specifically remembers the clock scenes because Edward changed the time of the clock to fit in with the scene. Apparently the episode was about the day that war was declared. Thank you to Jennifer for reminding us of our moment of fame.
