Thirty-four people sat down for a 'Candlemas' lunch on Sunday 3rd February. They all tucked in to meat pie and veg followed by various type of trifle, and jolly good it was too.

Including the raffle run by Dennis Beeching and Mike Marsden, the event raised a total of £246.80 for church funds.

After the lunch, Eileen Kellard presented Bilsby Church with two cheques, the proceeds of her sale of cards throughout the year. Eileen also raises money from the sale of her hand-made and recycled cards for many local charities.

At the moment, Eileen is recovering from yet another operation to her shoulder, the first one having failed to correct the break. We wish Eileen a speedy recovery.
