Songs for a Magical Summer Evening.

There was a wide variety of choice for us to saviour from German and other European songs to the final item, an audience participation rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone". There were many memorable moments but ones that especially stay in the memory include Karen's magnificent voice and the inspirational sight of young and very young people singing professionally and confidently in front of an audience, and so obviously enjoying it.

I have to make a special mention of a that not so young soloist Brenda Willson. She was superb and what a lovely voice she has. Could we hear more please Brenda?

The new grand piano was used for the evening and the excellent pianist did justice to this fine instrument.

When you go to a live concert you hope for a feel good factor. At the end I felt really good ... Well done Karen and your choir. You are an absolute credit to Alford and it is a pleasure to host your concerts in the magnificent setting of St Wilfrid's.
