Official Opening

The parish office, based in the room at the rear of the Church Hall in Alford, is now open for business. It was dedicated by Fr Charles and officially opened by Fr Charles and the Alford Mayor Sarah Devereux at a ceremony on Friday 25th January 08.

It has been operating behind the scenes since December doing some work for Fr Charles and Rev’d Wilma and this has convincingly demonstrated that the support of a Parish Office is going to be a great asset to our clergy as they develop their mission in the community.

It is open to the public on Tuesdays and Fridays between 11.30am & 1.30pm or by arrangement at any time if people are unable to attend during these times. We are happy to discuss any church based issues within the Alford Group of Churches with callers and will be co-ordinating arrangements for people wishing to arrange baptisms or weddings etc in any of the 9 churches in the Group.

All the staff are committed volunteers and we invite people to call in for an informal chat if they wish to know more about what the Alford Group of Churches can offer. You are guaranteed a warm welcome.
